Transportation is an important element in the human lifestyle. The evolution of transportation has been a long process going hand in hand with the mankind evolution. Therefore, to be aware not only of the common vocabulary, but also of background information over transportation would be useful for English learners who have to deal with the topic. Consequently, to match historical dates about inventions with vocabulary would help learners to better acquire the target subject.
